CCCEF Sponsors Annual Celebration of Lights

On December 17, the Cumberland County Campus Educational Foundation sponsored the annual Celebration of Lights event held in the Luciano Conference Center. The Cumberland Foundation adopted county school district children, provided gifts, crafts, holiday stockings, and decorations for the event. There was a total of 24 children who received two toys, an outfit, and a warm coat. The county schools included Bacon in Millville, Petway and Sabater from Vineland, and various Bridgeton schools.  The Celebration of Lights event was complete with Santa Claus, his elves, our buddy the North Pole Penguin, the Grinch, and 7 holiday stations with food, snacks, and holiday cheer: Traditional Christmas, Veterans around the World, Hanukkah, Boxing Day, Kwanzaa, Winter Solstice, and Three Kings Day. This event has one thing in common: all the holidays have light, which is where the name comes from – Celebration of Lights.
